Monthly Archives: February 2011 I feel like someone from that little community of “Who-ville” in “Horton hears a Who”… “I’M HERE, I’M HERE, I’M HERE!!” I’m fine… thank you for asking. I’ve been buried in projects, big and small… I’ve got a few upcoming deadlines and I’m trying to fit it all in… I’m resorting to plan “B” here and...

Actually, I love them both. I would imagine that they would be thrilled to have either one. I understand the struggle. After I finish typing this comment I am going to have my daughter give me some advice. I have a collage piece that is simply not coming together like I had hoped. I like each of the individual pieces so much better than the whole. Bummer! Thanks for the visual – I am inspired as usual.  I took another trip with my son and his schoolmates yesterday, this time to La Perouse Bay. It’s been a week of hiking for him, part of a special thing the school offers once a year. He doesn’t realize how lucky he is to go to a school that offers this type of thing, but... by robin 1 comment

That looks like an awesome hike. We decided not to go to La Perouse, but went to the summit of Haleakala instead — it made a nice contrast to our waterfall hike with you guys.  Things are zipping along here… these large chunky shapes are really starting to POP! I’m so loving the energy I’m getting from working on this… after little pockets of time here and there, I’m feeling fresh and hopeful I’ll be finished on time. Indeed ~ great energy. Lovin’ the colors and the feelings.  Things are moving along smoothly in the classrooms. It helps that the two classrooms are doing the same thing, and it also helps that these kids are so self-directed! They’ve been a huge help! They are charming & beguiling. I love the writing!!  I spent the day with my son, a few teachers and several kids from their school. Once a year, for one week, the kids go out into the community and participate in various activities. Today we hiked the Waihee Trail. It’s a greuling hike, 2.5 miles up the mountain, and the same back down. When... by robin 4 comments
