That wrap bracelet is fantastic! What a perfect project for the sidelines.  This month it’s Blair’s turn and wouldn’t you guess… more strips! How could she have known this would be right up my alley? For inspiration she sent us pictures of tile-work done in a mid-century style… just the very thing I have in my own house! She also sent a delicious array of fabrics… tiffany... by robin 7 comments

You look great! It is a never ending struggle to get that great photo, isn’t? I would like just one where my nose doesn’t look ridiculously large. Great blocks! I’m hoping to catch up on mine by this time next week. So behind after the last few months of chaos.

You got the hair cut I’ve been trying to get my stylist to give me! How did you do it? I must print out this picture and take it to my next appointment. Fantastic. Gray and yellow have been totally catching my eye lately. Lovely!

I like your portrait — so sunny and youthful! The tile fabrics and block that you made are great. That’s going to be one fantastic quilt when Blair gets it all together. Love the general restfulness with just a touch of excitement. Mondrian’s Nephew seems to be coming along nicely too — can’t wait to see more blocks!  So I got to the point of making several panels from the cut up shirts of my friend’s dad, and then the process stalled. What a great idea to write a letter to Ken! I love where you are headed so far.  Today as I entered the studio and picked up the pieces on Ken’s quilt, I laid them out to get a sense of what I’ve accomplished. I’m really enjoying following this project, it’s so lovely to see something growing out of life and loss  I’ve been given an extension on the deadline for Ken’s quilt. I’m not entirely sure this is a good thing, deadlines have a way of motivating me, but I do appreciate a little extra time to think about this project more.
