{rearranging… rethinking}

It’s been over four months since I’ve visited my “Lady Liberty” quilt.  When I stopped working on it, I thought it was coming together nicely: Sadly it hung on my design wall… neglected pathetic thing… pieces flying off whenever I left the windows open.  It slowly became an eyesore. Knowing there is a gem in...

CONGRATS on the Hana adventure!!!

Elizabeth ElliottJuly 10, 2011 - 12:23 pm

Aloha Robin,
I am vacationing to visit my relatives in Chicago and am reading your blog.
Congratulations on the Hana home. Please tell me where it is located as I taught in Hana for 7 years and am familiar with the area.
I may know your neighbors.

I really like the new direction you are taking . . .

Exciting!

Around here there is a bumper sticker which says “THANK GOD FOR HANA!”  It’s true… Hana is a very special place.  I am happy to report that as of 9 am this morning, we are officially land owners in Hana! For years now Jamey and I have wanted a get-away.  We’ve looked all over these...

New Work: “My Monk has Warm Hands”

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted here… all is well with us, we seemed to have settled into a string of unstructured yet full days.  The kids are happily enjoying new activities and I’ve been busy as driver and as “the one who reads on the beach.”  It’s all good. Perhaps the...

This might be my favorite piece of yours yet. It’s incredibly stunning!!! It seems a good thing that you were able to put it away for a while to come back when you felt inspiration for it once again. That knowing definitely paid off.
Good for you for keeping the yoga constant in your life…..

“Dyeing” to Share With You!

I’ve been dyeing again!  With the sun in full blast outside and pockets of time here and there, I couldn’t resist.  In this first batch of the summer, I’ve put together sherbet colors… lime, watermelon… or maybe like these zinnias… found on Pinterest: …I’ve also added a couple of browns to mix it up I’ve...

Our Days by the Shore… part 2

I seems like this summer is going by waaay too fast.  Next week the summer solstice will be here which officially marks the beginning of summer, but that is only the turning point.  Prior to that the days get increasingly longer, and after, the days become increasingly shorter.  It’s almost if the long goodbye of...
