ginger :: the process

As mentioned earlier on writing about this ginger quilt that is going to be in an upcoming local show, I was nervous that for a five-week show and a year long investigation of color, light and space, I didn’t have much to show.  I had the idea of displaying some of my pictures taken while I was in the process of making that quilt and I’m happy to say they turned out better than I could have imagined.  A photographer friend printed them up on watercolor paper and mounted them on black foam board.  I absolutely love the look and am hoping just a little that they don’t sell so that I can hang them in my studio… sigh.  For ease of hanging I’ll put them in koa frames and off they go!  The opening is Friday… will you join me?
