What a gorgeous studio! What magnificent space and light! {sigh} Wow….  For the past few days, Hawaii has been experiencing a mammoth south swell, or “large waves” on the south shores of all islands. This is due to an exceptionally large area of extreme winds SE of New Zealand. Oh, man. These photos just bring on the pure pleasure of a Maui beach late in the day when all turns to gold and salt has tightened the skin. How intense, alive, and lovely. It calls to me!

Hello Robin, I love these pictures, which capture this beautiful scene so that one can almost hear the sound of the sea. What a lovely space you inhabit, no wonder your quilts are so vibrant.  Of course this time of year brings with it May Day celebrations… or Lei Day as it’s called here. The kids in my daughter’s class wore the same outfits that I made last year, only this year they added ti-leaf fringe… it’s a tahitian thing. Great picture. love the costumes. More sun???? in Hawaii?? We need more sun here in OH!  We spent the weekend in Hana… one of Hawaii’s best kept secrets. It was the perfect way to launch our spring vacation; we spent time by the beach, we relaxed and we took walks around town… just to take it all in. The fresh air smell and cool ocean breeze was refreshing. The warm sun... by robin no comments  We are spending a few days by the shore. It’s wonderful to be here again where time slows and life becomes simpler. Evidence of the tsunami is all around, yet the spirit of this sleepy village remains undisturbed.
