Category Archives: On Being an Artist New York in the summertime was hot, hot, hot, but all I can say is WOW! I had the best time! I spent some time with friends Kristin, Deborah, Natalya and Vivien… catching up, eating good food, talking about art, meeting new people and touring the sights. My mind is swirling with new ideas...

Love your photos! I have words swimming around in my head, but my photos just don’t match. My head was in another space. Thank you for capturing our time so well!  As an artist, and because my piece got accepted into this year’s Art Maui show, I had to sit at the gallery for a few hours the other day. It was a nice morning, there are still many visitors that come to this space, and I was able to have several interesting conversations regarding art…... by robin 2 comments

Robin, Your piece looks wonderful! It is one of those I wish I would have made!  My piece “Elements #28″ was selected for Art Maui 2011! According to the website: 377 artists registered 592 works. 138 works were selected, by 125 artists. It’s never easy to write a bio… I feel like writing “Robin Ferrier is an artist that never got used to writing in the third person”… but each time... by robin 9 comments

She is the owner of Yogagurl, a company which she started out of a desire to inspire herself and others, and now supports a line of yoga wear as well as other things to help women become empowered. That’s a good sized quilt! I love these kinds of quilts. Too bad you can’t raffle it because you really do get more money that way as well as everyone having a chance at owning it. We have pretty strict rules here in Michigan too. |
